I didnt even know they existed to buy Rob .
This is my first Guzzi . Any oul trick bits laying around in that Aladins cave
of Team Farmer ?....
Any way , I have never read on any of the bike threads about" F***K ups ", well i
had one y/day. Later .

The idea was to cut away the side wall of the Original Guzzi Item and
then Trim it fore and aft. All in the " best possible taste".
Well i measured 25cm around the outer circ. both sides , check it
scribed it , and then had an idea of marking it with some white vinyl strip
i have for engine detailing on a BMW..
All marked ,,, Ready to cut , Makita in hand , New Blade , HEavy gloves
mask , and Goggles , God i must have looked professional........
Here comes the F up ,,, I decided 25cm looked good and right .
But didnt bother to measure how it would look as a mudguard.
Yip , I cut too much , it only partially covered the Wheel ..
Looking professional now !

Alls not lost , I have a cunning plan , for whats left .
It looks well as a hugger !

I dont like the Way it sits high , but cant see an easy solution , well nowt that
a Drill and File wont sort in a few hours , or maybe not , i will have a sit and look at it for a while.

Phil, was it not you that asked a while back for an 8" h/lamp? Iirc I suggested back then an XS750/850 unit. Did you not look into this?

Twas , and i did . But Now i need a Light unit.
I have seen them , in the US and Germany , And one in the UK ,
but i havent seen the right condition light yet.
I see a guy in wales selling ,8" on Ebay UK , I will phone him regarding the quality .

I've just bought an 8 inch light to go on a caff thing I'm working on from the other side of Italy!
It was off ebay but a bit more than the really cheap (nasty 45w bulbed) jobbies, about 60-70 quid and seems pretty good, metal shell and H4 bulb. I can find the receipt if you're interested?
See pic!
Oh, and change that early camchain tensioner to the later valtek job, you don't need gears, even though the steel ones are pretty good Rob! I have a T3 cali with 950 barrels, P3 cam, deep sump and 36mm dellortos I bunged in, which may mean nothing to you, but the guzz likes them

Failing that, do a search using "cafe racer ace bike headlight" and it should pop up, 68.95 of our English Pounds (actually Welsh I guess? ).

Another day , Another Mudguard !.
Carrying on from the balls i made of the front stainless mudguard ,,
i hatched a mental plot . I couldnt see that lovely bit of stainless goin to
waste .
I reckoned i could make it into a hugger for the back , i definitely am not
going to have a full mudguard at the back ..
After a Bit of eye measuring , i reckoned " Cut as far back as i could
or as far below the pivot bar line , trying to save the Clutch workings and as
much of everything else as i could .
