Has anyone put a 70 watt H7 in there 1200 ?

I'm curious if the wires can take the heat from the 70 watt.

I put one in today and felt the wires got hot but not hot enough to cause a problem. Anyone care to comment. the light is ultra white and much stronger than the 55 watt bulb.

I suspect the wires would be ok, but you risk melting the plastic reflector in the lamp. Personally I wouldn't take the risk - fit a high brightness 55W bulb instead.

Nippy's got soem decent high output 55w bulbs - a mate and myslef did a comparison on standard and these a few months back and there is a visible difference...

Would stay away from anything that draws more than 55 watts. If you have money to burn then PIAA makes an Extreme White Plus which is 55 Watts but with claimed brightness of 110 Watts. I have them in my bike and like them.

I would go for PIAA's plasma blue bulb. It's 55W and it gives light beaten only by xenon systems. It's not cheap though....
