Had it with GS screen - any recommendations for aftermarket fly screen?

Actually I really liked the bike with no screen at all, maybe I should've bought a K1200R?

that flow jet does look good - is it adjustable in angle?

To Owen Snell: The difference between the bmw low and high seat is the more deep cut out used for the low seat, and thus more covering material needed for the high seat. The hard plastic undersides are the same. As i purchased the high seat i have now 2 sets of mounting bars, but any round 10mm bar will do.
I raised my high seat even further by using the 40x20mm alu bars. I've marked where the bars need to fit vs. the bike, and the seat, filed the bars out to 5mm depth (half the 10mm diameter of the bars) and tie wrapped it all together (8 tie wraps). So I've added 40mm, less 2*5 (or 6) mm, plus the 10mm diameter, in height . Or back to 38-40mm total
You'll need to position the bars such that with the tie wrap on the side the seat locking devices can still take the bar (eg the bars are on the inside, and do the bar-to-bike bit first. That allows you to fit things together and see how far you can slide the seat forward to avoid an ugly gap between seat and fuel tank. And you need to remove the two plastic clips on the saddle which go onto the fuel tank. I've finished the bars with black heavy duty tape.

By the way the bars will only fit on the high postion onto the seat. They then just rub the middle of the bottom of the seat. You could fit the bars closer together, but i wanted them as far apart as possible for stability.

I haven't tried this with the buddy seat yet. Should fit though. I drive or without, or with the BMW top case in this position - my wife has her own bike now :-)

Welcome to the site :)

Flowjet does adjust a bit but its really just for looks, doesn't make much difference to the airstream.

MAYBE ITS ME

BUT COMING FROM A FLAT BAR 955 DAYTONA WITH A DOUBLE BUBBLE SCREEN I FIND THE GS REALLY COMFY, STANDARD SCREEN SET IN HIGHEST POSITION, SEAT IN HIGHEST SETTING NO PROBLEMS WITH WIND BLAST, NOT REALLY NOTICED ANY NOISE ISSUES, HAVE DONE OVER 200 MILES IN ONE HIT WITH NO PROBLEMS, ENJOYING IT SO MUCH IM USING THE BIKE EVERY DAY.

Well I wouldn't want to go around the world on a flat-barred Dayto, :)

I went to Scotland on a Sprint RS and that was uncomfortable enough :D

Any pictures of the final assembly?

Thought I might as well post some pics of my 12/'07 R12GS with painted flowjet :

Always use it, except when doing really long stretches of highway, or when it's getting really cold.
The bike seems more fun to ride ('supermoto') and there's no buffeting.
