Spoke with Hagon recently who are able to supply made to measure shocks with adjustable damping / preload, (remote preload adjustment on the rear) significantly cheaper than the likes of Ohlins and WP. They also include a 2 year guarantee.

Has anybody had any experience with Hagon shocks? I'd be looking to fit them to my 1100GS.

I have a pair of these shocks stuffed in a mates garage in the UK. Paid £100 for them with 4000 miles. Sometime I'll give them a go and let you know or alternativly you can send me £100 plus the postage and I'll send them to you.

I might even be in KL sometime in November 2004 or February 2005.

Could be interested in buying your shocks, do you know if the rear has the remote preload adjuster? A photo would be appreciated, however I understand that if they're in your mates garage it could be somewhat problematic.

Give me a shout when you know when you'll be in KL, I'm always up for a beer.

many reports of hagon failures on these boards. no experience myself.

do a search perhaps?

had one on my R100GS, wouldn´t put it at the pinacle of technological development. Better than stock, but not good either.

the oilie ones, might be different of course.

No it does not have the preload adjuster which is why I am in no rush to fit them. On the other hand as Bob says they are not brilliant but as good as stock and seeing as mine are now at 50K I am quite happy to give them a go.

MIne didnt go pop . I just found them hard, but not very progressive. But like I said - much better than stock and much cheaper than Ohlins/WP
