Hi,

I am thinking of repairing an old hall sensor from an 1150GS, found a link on the site, but this refers to an 1100, and I see from Motorworks that there are two differens sensors available.

Anyone know if the same hall sensor is used on both bikes or what the difference is?

Wonder if the same sensors are used, or if it is the adaptor plate that is different. I see the connector seems different at the bike wiring end. A pair of sensors cost about £35 when compared to about £150 for the new part.

The Honeywell 2av54 Hall Effect Switch

Could start a cottage industry repairing these as there are a lot of broken ones about!

Even cheaper - a lot of the failures are due to the wiring deteriating through heat and age.

got mine just waiting for a plate to come up then will rewire with new sensors
got mine for £26.00 posted

Hi
1100 or 1150? The same type sensor? Honeywell 2av54 Hall Effect Switch?
I see from your profile it is a 1100, intersting to see if they are the same sensor.:tumbleweed:tumbleweed:tumbleweed
