Hand Grips

I've just done the 'O' ring mod on the hand grips as I've always thought them too small and uncomfortable. They take a bit of getting used to after the standard item but I think they'll be alright.

I bought a box of 100 so if anyone else wants a set I'm happy to oblige - they take 22 per side.

That looks like a neat job Duncan. I've always thought that the grips are a bit too skinny for comfort, but I never got round to doing anything about it.

What size rings did you use? And does it make much difference to the heated grips??

What size rings and where from Please? +1 on the heated grippy things! do they still pass enough heat through for winter?

'O' Rings

To those who are interested, the 'O' rings in the picture are 31mm inside diameter by 5.6mm thick, if you've got small hands you might find 3.5mm thick may be better, the thick ones do make the brake and clutch levers a little further away. If you want to use the thinner ones you will need 33/34 rings per side. They are obtainable from any good engineering/tool supplier at about £12 per 100 bag plus VAT. Any problems getting them pm me and I'll sort you some when I get back from Belgium/France/Northern Italy, about 21st Sept.

Heated Grips

The heated grips don't heat up quite as quickly but retain the heat better so I suppose it's swings and roundabouts!
