My recently purchesd 1150GS adv lost the allen screw and washer from the twist grip side of the bars on a run recently.

I have since got hold of a new allen screw and washer but I cant see how the allen screw can be tightened sufficiently to both avoid it being lost again and allow for the free movement (return) of the twist grip:eek . There is some thread lock on the allen screw but I'm not convenced by this. Also with the allen screw adjusted so as to allow free return if the twist grip the bar end weight rattles in the plastic of the hand protector.

Anyone got any ideas/advice?? or re-assurance? I am tempted to just araldite the screw in!

If the twistgrip is being stopped from returning, move the unit along the bars slightly, to give a gap.

Cheers for that, however I have had a quick look but there seems to be no scope to move the unit - hmm.

Since my first post I have discovered that the bar on the RH side was slightly bent, now with the hand protector removed and the aid of a length of tube, some controled effort I have now straightened the bar and, as if by magic the whole issue is resolved.
