Have searched for the answer to this before asking .... HONEST. Couldn't find it :type

Have just bought handle bar risers from Nippy Normans (the ones that not only lift the bars up but bring them back towards you too). The instructions make fitting them sound really easy... until I reach the bit that tells me to undo the nut for the suspension and drop the fork so that the brake/clutch/electric cables can be re-routed to the other side of the fork to allow enough play  I'm no mechanic but this sounds like quite a task to me :nenau.

Am I misinterpreting the instructions? They say "Can be fitted in minutes"! took me an hour and 5 cups of tea just to try to understand what they were telling me, and still don't get it :confused:

Can anyone help please?

Cheers
Gaz

much ado about nothing

i thought the same when i fitted mine :eek
its really easy, the aim is to lower the fork stanchion in relation to the top yoke-you can then pass the length compromised cables/wires the other side of the fork-retighten the stanchion & job done.

Does this work with the front brake 'cable'. It looks pretty rigid and might not like going at that angle?

Yes it does ............. you need to re-route the throttle cable, wiring and brake hose behind the offside fork leg :thumb2

Sorry for sounding thick but wouldn't I need to do the other side too if I need to re-route the clutch line too?

Thanks Gaz
