I wish BMW would offer a slightly narrower and lower bar like the one on the S1000XR for the GS !

XR Gen 1 bars are similar to the GS but the Gen 2 bars are a little narrower.

Shorter bars ..... careful then filtering as you don't have the cats whiskers to judge the width if you've panniers attached ! If you have short arms, are the legs short as well ?

Is it poss to keep std GS bars and just hacksaw say 1" off ea side?

I have been looking at doing exactly this on my 2016 R1200GS. Not clear from some of the responses if the standard R1200R bars will have any clearance issues when bolted onto the standard GS without risers and screen in the low position. Anyone can offer some advice? Of course, BMW had to use a 32mm clamp size so options are limited
