Handlebar mounting bolts

Do any of you fine gentlemen ( and ladies of course ) know what size thread and length the handlebar clamp bolts are? I want to take out the crappy looking standard ones and replace them with some nice shiny stainless jobbies but dont want to wreck one of the standard ones taking it out before I can get some new ones sourced due to not owning that particular socket type.

A normal 8mm socket will work.

You may also be interested by the GPS accessory bolts. They replace the original bolts and add the possibility to bolt something else on top, like a GPS mount or anything else. Part number is 32717652161 (M8x30) and the screws that go on top of that are M5 (the GPS accessory ones are M5x16 but they use a spacer, I'd think something like M5x10 would do)
