I can find yoke protectors (Nippy Normans) but no handlebar protectors and it's the bars between the clamps, not the yoke, that are getting scratched by my keys. I've tried a couple of those generic carbon sick-on patches, but the curve of the bar is too tight and they eventually curl off the bar. Ideas?

Cheers :beerjug:

I used this stuff:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PAINT-PROTECT...2QQihZ013QQcategoryZ28641QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It is a sheet of sticky back plastic that is desinged to prevent stone chips on cars and works really well for this sort of thing as well. I had it professionally installed on my car and got a sheet off ebay for the bike as well. It is quite easy to apply on flat surfaces and takes some patience on complex curved surfaces but the results are good. I have it on my headlight, on the handlebars and on the frame around the pegs to prevent damage from my boots. I am thinking about putting it on the tank as well but will need to get a template made first.

Good luck!

Check out a keychoob !!!

Try www.keychoob.co.uk
They do a neoprene sleeve which fits around your other keys when the ignition key is in the barrel. Protects the yoke brilliantly. About £5 !!
