Handlebars up/footpegs down?

Order placed, What is the problem with the sidestand?

Thanks for the order, it's wrapped up :thumb

There is no problem with the sidestand, except that I don't have time to develop one for my shop. I'm going to make an adjustable and easy to use airhead sidestand. One day :D

And some people want that day to be today.
But it will be worth the wait, promise

Cheers,
Michel

They are about 30 mm lower and 10 mm wider.

I've seen some other footpegs advertised - I think it was FTI in Germany and they were supplied as a kit with a new gear lever . Is this necessary or is their placement different?

That depends on the size of your feet, your riding position, the type of boots your wear, ...

But on an airhead, you don't need a complete new lever anyhow, you can simply shorten the stock lever and mount a roll.

As for the footpegs, I'm out of stock at the moment and it will take about 4 weeks to get the new ones in.

gear lever adjustment

just fitted my Migsel risers and footrests - thanks Michel.
With the standard gear level setting on my paralever R80GS, there was very little room to get my boot under the lever. However, some adjustment later and I've made the room.
Loosen the lock nuts on the gear linkage, then remove the lever from the frame and unscrew it from the linkage. Take up all of the thread on the gearbox side and tighten the lock nut. Thread on the lever side rose joint and take up as much of the available thread as possible, tighten the locknut and bolt the lever back onto the frame.
More than enough room for my 44 foot, fine when seated or standing.
If you have too much room, take off the lever, undo the lock nut and wind out some thread.
Would have been better and easier to adjust if the rod had been a turn buckle.
