Happiness isn't ... a brimmed tank to fuel light on................... 108 miles

Theres a black x tank on ebay, would suit you down to the ground.

Brimmed as in not another drop could've been put in, that was deliberate :thumb2

Not interested in how economical it is, I'm interested in how far it'll go.
The answer, not very:rolleyes:

I'll check how far before it runs out from light on but I'm not hopeful this bike will be any good for foreign travel:blast

Hmm nice Dakar in the garage:augie

Brimmed?

Define?

Upright or on Sidestand?

Maybe the float is faulty? Mine comes on at 120 and I have fuel to 150 miles:D

Half an inch matters :D

One occasion did 140 miles on mine and on filling I'd had three litres left :)
N'uther occasion ran out at 110 miles

Half an inch makes all the difference :D

:beerjug:

This was on the side stand to get most in and completly brimmed, I'll go out tomorrow armed with a can of fuel and see when it runs out.

Happiness is a KTM 640 ADV btw:D

If it's the same fuel pump unit as the F650 you can apparently adjust the level when it activates. I need to sort mine as with the TT 11 litre tank on my Dakar the fuel light comes on after 35 miles. :hammer

My light usually comes on around the 110/115 miles, as it did this morning. Filled it up, 7.74 litres, so should be another 1.25 litres left before totally empty. This is with normal town and country riding. I have had it totally empty in 110 miles with spirited riding.
I now carry an extra 2 litre fuel canister, just in case:eek:

Tim, Your trying to get 21 litres of fuel range out of a 9 litre tank, going to be hard unless you like looking at grass growing as you ride.

:thumb Dave.

Had a great thrash around in the sunshine on it today (Ange was at work and this was fit testing purposes only;)) and think its doing 16 miles/litre or 75mpg so not too bad.

Anyway, thought I put a pic up of today's mod for JB to give one of his excellent appraisals :D
