Hi to all in the North West. I`m new to this forum having found it only a week ago, and how happy I am.
Since joining I have managed to pass on some very nice `Adventure` goodies that have been sat under my bench for 2 years since I swapped my 1150GS for the 1200.
Not only that, I stumbled across someone whom I had lost contact with 2 years ago. That person was like gold dust. Someone I could trust to service my machine and have the confidence that he would do everything I was paying for and do it correctly.
No doubt some of you will know who I am talking about, but for anyone looking for an honest top class service for their BMW need look no further than ADVENTURE BIKE WAREHOUSE based in Swinton. Operated by one of the forums well known characters, Rudimoto, It is brand new and still in the act of being set up at their new premises although Rudimoto has been servicing BM`s for years and is a fully trained and up to date BMW technician.

Since aquiring my `05 1200GS I have been plagued with a niggling slow speed problem affecting control and smoothness. Despite having been back to the dealers several times, the problem has persisted for the 15 months that I have owned the bike.
I spent the morning at Rudimotos on Thursday while he did some servicing work on the machine and found a few things that had been `neglected` during its 12000 mile service, and possibly all previous ones.
It looked like end float on the valve lifters had never been adjusted to the point where you could drive a bus between the side and the support pillar, and throttle slides were out of sync. Also, final drive transmission oil looked like original factory filling, black and in need of replacing.
All these things should have been attended to at the services that I had payed for at the dealers but had seemingly been `overlooked`.
The resul is that I now have a 1200GS that picks up smoothly at slow speed without any `snatching` and playing with the clutch to smother the fault.

All bike owners want to have their machines serviced properly and have trust in whoever is doing the job. I can recommend Rudimoto to all BMW owners and he will also lend you a bike while yours is in dock. A great service and extra discount if you are a forum member.
Use rudimoto posts to contact him at the moment.

Well, thats the end of the free ad! A big hello to all in the North West and I look forward to meeting up with some of you on the road at sometime in the future.

Warringon is really a Lancashire town and was moved overnight a long time ago, in the `70`s, into Cheshire while we were all asleep. No wonder you can`t find it!!
The best thing about it was that cheshire spuds were suddenly all around us.
Oh! The GS is Yellow.
