Was talking to a couple yesterday on GS's...one was Canadian Registered...ridden by a young lady from Donegal......her better half knows you too...think maybe he's from Dublin's Fair City......

As Aidan said I was indeed away for the weekend.
I had a morbid fear that either wifey or mammy would organise a ‘do’ where all the outlaws would get pished on my hard earned so decided quite a while ago that I didn’t want to be around on the day.

I toyed with the idea of doing something ‘big’ to mark the occasion like the Pan American, Long Way Down or Mongolia but when it came down to it I found I’d only enough money for 3 days in Ireland

But they were super days, spent riding around Tipp for a day & Clare for 2 days with (very) regular stops for tea & cakes. And the weather was good to me ould bones too – apart from a couple of showers on Saturday we’d cracking weather the whole time.

We were in Uk til we missed our ferry home yesterday

Got home in the wee small hours of this morning!

I have to say I presumed Ash was taking the piss with the 50th!!!

Oops. My paltry excuse was that I was away enjoying myself in Scotland and I've only just caught up with the news of another year nearer... no I won't go there. Looks like you had a great time.
