Early start on the road for 9.00am for the short 25 mile journey to the hills.Stopped off for fuel before we hit the trails and met 4 lads on KTMs we'd seen them before but never had a crack.It seems that one of the lads used to work with one of our mates so we were invited along for the day
They must have been pissing themselves laughing 2 KTM 450 2 KTM250 one of them brand new and us on old xl 600 ,DR350 and husky 410
This is the first bit must have take us 45 mins to get up the ruts were at least foot and a half deep at the bottom.We dragged and pushed the the Xl all the way to the top
Don't you love ruts
and bogs
Don't follow to close behind
But then it gets easier should be able to GS this bit .
Views aren't bad.
Easy looking ford you'd think
Not so it's really deep and full of large rocks
One drowned brand new KTM 250
Drain all the water out clean plug ,airfilter ,carb you know the routine
Good place to breakdown 2 young kids entertained us and showed us their skills
Finally back on the go

Guess what a KTM gets a puncture
On the go again and it was mud and ruts again
But we had an idea of where we were going so it was a little easier just
So that was that 130 miles around 50 of them offroad.
What you haven't seen is all the really hard bits and the crashes
Gav deserves a medal for riding the XL he must have come off it 15 times and kept jumping back on.I had a few myself the worst being a trip over the bars and the bike landing on my legs
i just didn't have the heart or the energyto get the camera out
Pleased to say the old DR made it home in one piece who needs a KTM
