Got a data/power cable to wire GPS to me bike, wot should I do with the data out/in wires, car,nt see me needing them, or will I.

As for getting power was going to wire in to the back of acsessory socket unless anybody sugest different ?

Just trim off the data wires when you have the power lead at the desited length.

Tapping the power socket feed should be fine - it's a permanently live fused supply.

The accesory skt is fused at 15A so make sure you fuse it again at the required rating or your nice GPS could glow nicely

You could need them if you ever wish to connect your gps to a laptop or a pda (handheld). I have connected it so I can send routes, tracks and waypoints to my pda or vice versa. So it is not completely useless...

The power/data cables does come with a fuse doesn't it?
