Harris Z900 - Thunder Child

That's either beautiful in a horrible way or horrible in a beautiful way. Either way it should stay that way.

Love it!
Many years ago I bought some bits including a fairing for my Laverda from a guy in Solihull.
He turned out to be Malcolm Cox who was quite well known at the time for his show bikes which were Harris Laverdas, one of which had a turbo on it.
The fairing he sold me was a spare off 'Elizabeths Taxi' which I remember from mags around that time (80s). Paintjob was metalflake blue (or maybe purple) and silver, proper period job like the Kwaka. Dunno what possessed me to buy it, must have been stoned...................... My council lock up was broken into some time after, nobody touched the fairing.

He's doing a full resto on it but I really, really hope he keeps the paint job as INHO its gorgeous and a real throw back to the 70's!
Me too. :thumb2

It may not be something that I'd want to own but it deserves to be sympathetically restored.

Early Radial Brakes? And they said it was the latest thing.

I loved Harris and Spondon stuff, built to handle like a proper skinny tyre shod motorbike should. Mind you it wasn't that hard to improve on the efforts of the major manufacturers of the time.:blast
