Harz wander - 2 - 8th June

Hi Folks

I am heading to the Harz from 2nd to 8th June, and have a spare bunk in the cabin (Hull - Rotterdam) and have 2 spare places at the hotel, the Pension Roseneck (www.harzbiker.co.uk)

Taking the scenic route down there from the Ferry, doing a run through the Ruhr Valley and stopping off at the Dam's that where previously visited by 617 Sqn of the RAF 60 odd years ago.

While over there I will be doing a bit of hooning around, probably a run down to Colditz castle and the old East German border museum. I know the area really well being an ex squaddie, and spent a fair bit of time living in that area, both in muddy holes dressed as a tree, and later on at the adventure training lodges.

If anyone is interested in tagging along, please give me a shout.

Just to add, the Ferry is all booked for this one, Hull to Rotterdam so if anyone want's to tag along, I just need to add an extra bike to my booking. Anyone who snores like a bull elephant or farts like a Labrador need not apply.

Going to be taking a long winded route to the Harz to check out the Tiger II tank in the Ardennes, and will be taking a run out to Colditz, a bit of urban exploration at the Ahlstedt Russian Airfield, and a run out to one of the better Border museums.

Other stuff planned to, quick blast to the Nurburgring and some of the faster routes around the Harz, and maybe a few runs on some Forest Trails.
