Having doubts now

You have a good dealer there,
well done on the wilbers conversion.

Seriously now,
can I buy the old damaged shock from you please ?

Yep, should be ok! PM me an offer, and it's yours

This about sums it up, this is a great bike but not the easiest bike to ride in the wet off road. On good fire roads it will be a joy, in spain in the dry or crossing a continent then great bike but wet slippery or steep stuff, in this country, there are a lot easier bikes. I expect it has been owned by people who have realized this.

Will let you know when I'm taking it to your neck of the woods.:thumb Won't be long.:beerjug:

I found my F650GS (I know it's not the same, but it's a 650 4-stroke single) perfectly adequate when riding by myself.

When riding in the company of others on the road I could keep up but needed to tap dance on the gear lever. Whilst fun at first, at the end of a long day it's a pain in the bollocks.

If you know what you want it for and have another bike for higher speed stuff, fair enough.

My plan is to cut a few corners when out with others, but I have a feeling this could all go horribly wrong!:D

Good advice, cheers Jay.:thumb I figured that it's a bit of a marmite bike, and hope that I like it, otherwise it'll be back for sale on here in the New Year!:blast:D

6 owners in 6 years...you're beginning to see how this works. :thumb

Walk away its sounds like a duffer and don't hand a single penny over :thumb

It's a quiet time for the dealer, he's just racking up a few warranty claims to pay the wages.
