After returning from a 7 day ride in Spain , I was interested to see how the new callipers faired . Bloody great , as good as the Brems but sharper in scrubbing speed off. They still over heat as do the brem but have less fade.
I haves black set in a box if anyone interested as I stupidly presumed they would be crap .
They are not

What are your opinions on the Conti's.? TA3
Thanks

A great tyre , never gives up giving grip , sure footed ness and confidence . Better than the TA2 which was a hard shoe to fill .
As for the wear factor I can really comment as the set did 2000 miles , then binned . But I had a great time .
Thinking about the Angels next to try as always open to a new window.
I will get round to a better review , but bear in mind it will be based on a 7 day Spanish tour rather than a general UK review.
Have a new set fitted now so will keep in mind the wear factor over the winter.
As you can see the rear takes the wear well and thro out the trip was faultless , on the last day back to the depot it was , to say , a bit rough.

Front

The front tyre on this set is awesome , allows you to push hard with the feeling of confidence which allows not only to look at the next corner but anticipate the next , brilliant.
I thought the PR5 was good but this set is better , allows more mileage with the same grip , good for a mixed tyre .
When on the brakes the front digs in and just feels planted , even with the rear floating , fantastic .
The new Hayes brakes are great as well.
Hard to see on the photo but the front after 2000 miles of hard riding was stepped , but still road okay.

Cheers stick made my day, now to open my wallet. :D

I feel you wont be disappointed , they really do bring the best out of the bike ( other points of view not ignored ) I have run all sorts of tyres with an open mind.
The best of the bunch up to this point is the TA3 followed by the TA2 , close behind (but made of chocolate) the PR5 , the RT01 was a great set but let down by the over sipes on the front , as being hard on the brakes made the front squirm to much for a settled ride, Tourance next like them but not to confident on the rubber but would say they are a distance tyre more than a sprint. The Annnak 3 , great mileage but with the odd side of unpreditabily when pushing , shame as they last well but have that odd feeling.
All to our own on this post but if you like to push th GS I hope the above may make sense and help to make a choice.
Milage is not my datum , more the experience the give for they style in which I ride , fast hard and expectant of the positive a GS gives all day.

+1 for the Hayes brakes, just done 1500 miles in the Scottish Highlands on my new Rallye 1250, and the Hayes anchors are superb. :thumb2

The new style OEM Anakees ain’t half bad too for an Adventure type tyre.

Never run them as I do on road but my mate ran them and rated them .

This is an idea of the PR5 , same roads less milage . Great tyre but chocolate.

Good choice as they deliver all you may want , a consistent tyre set that rewards .
