Hello All,

I have a 1999 1150 that I bought off a friend. He had an occasional problem that he claimed to have sorted- the hazard lights came on randomly.
However, it has stated again since I have owned the bike for about a month.
Is this a common problem?
Is it easy to sort without disabling the switch?
Or, as a non Beemer owner has suggested, could it be a diagnostic warning!?

Help appreciated - as it is slightly ruining my experience of an otherwise great bike..

I doubt it's a diagnostic thing (I haven't got the handbook to err, hand), but it'd say so in there if it is.

I'll ask my bro-in-law, he's pretty good at fault diagnosticating, will get back to you if he comes up with anything. Have you asked your dealer?

hi,

sorry, been away for a day..

Thanks for the reply's
I have not asked a dealer yet, the forum is much more agreeable than park lane bmw!
It does not have an alarm, and I have looked through the book but it looks unlikely that it is a warning.
I have booked it in to a beemer specialist ( not bmw dealer) in a weeks time, but I did not want them to start trawlling through the electrics if I could help it. With my last bike ( ducati ) this only caused another problem!

thanks for the help, will keep looking to see if there are any answers...

cheers
