Just out of curuosity (does any one know how to spell it?) has any one cahnged their dip beam on an 1150 to right hand drive with ease? or does no one bother. Sounds like a good idea, buit I and friends have never found it easy going on a eurpean tour on Sunday so altered min but had to take the headlight out to move it!. real p.i.t.a.
Any opinions appreciated.

Yup - changed mine several times back and forward to suit holidays etc. Don't remember taking the h/lamp out to do it, though? Undo the connecting/clamping ring thingy and rotate the light unit, re-tighten.

it's dead easy:
1) remove the windshild
2) remove the top fairing (the inner grey... windshield)
3) there is an allen bolt tightening a ring around the headlight - loosen it and rotate the headlight anticlock-wise (i guess)

and that's it

Except on my 02 GS you had to get past a baulk that wasn't mentioned in the manual

The light unit on my '04 GSA doesn't rotate easily either. It can be done, but it needs to be really slack and then moved back a bit to clear a 'stop' before it will turn.

It was originally a German registered bike that had a UK speedo and headlight fitted (by a German Dealer) when it was imported - could this be a clue ?

Bob.
