thanks john, unfortunately there are no paniers anyway, i have a pair i made on my old r80g/s which i may fit, i'm seriously thinking of making all the bits myself and turning it into a sort of rat bike, let's face it they're not the sort of bike that needs to be imaculate are they.cheers

That would certainly be my view, especially when I look at the state of my bike as a result of commuting this week through flood, mud, dead leaves, squished badgers etc.

However, having seen the photos of some of the Tossers' bikes I think there may be a number of people who do seem to spend an awful lot of time cleaning.......
