my manual says i should take it to my dealer as its suppoosed to adjust itself when i have a pillion on the back etc. or at least thats how it read to me.

well my light is fine until the missus gets on and then im blinding everyone at night. not too bad in the day makes them tin boxes aware of my presence but i want it right really any tips?

What bike?

Not sure about others but the 1150 has a little lever on the right side at the back of the headlight for quick vertical adjustment when riding 2 up.

Adjust the rear pre load, then if that's not enough, use the lever to tweak the headlights angle. The 1100 / 1150 and 1200 GS's I've had have had on (lever as well as preload adjuster).

Yep and found it in the same place on the 12GSA as I had the same problem last weekend - turning the suspension at the back a notch helped then I read the manual and found the lever!!

headlights.

The rear suspension adjustment makes a huge difference, I adjusted mine to make a softer ride and then net out last night, dipped beam now gives a
great view of tree tops and low flying aircraft!.
