I have just installed a 'grill'. This required to remove the headlight block. Having now put everything back together again, I find the headlight block aims too high. Also, I can fel the small rubber pad underneath it which tells me that it is meant to be resting on something. Any clues appreciated. All connections are back on correctly and everything works fine.(it's an 1200 GS '08) Did search but no luck on this one.
PS: if there is a next time, how do you disconnect the small blue and brown wires at the bottom of the block? Cheers

I think that small rubber thing you can feel should slot into a hole behind the oil grill. You'll have to take it apart again to see it though.

Make sure the headlight is seated correctly, there's a little pod that needs to be seated into a rubber gromit underneath the unit.

Slacken off the bolts either side and wiggle the headlight unit till you feel it drop in and retighten bolts

Thanks for advice. Incredible how when you know what you need to do, it all becomes a lot easier! :thumb
