My big sausage fingers have led me to lose the sprung headlight bulb retaining clip last time I changed the bulb.
Real OEM doesn’t show this as a seperate item so does anyone know where I can obtain the clip rather than buying a whole new headlight unit?

TIA

You might try a local scrap merchant that deals with old cars, bikes most old style car headlights use the same set up of bulb holder clips.
Most likely be free or pennies.

Take the headlight unit off the bike.
It'll make losing ohe again less likely.
You'll get better access and will be able to see what you're doing better.
With some stuff wire and a couple of pairs of pliers you could be able to fashion one to match the one on the other bulb.

Bin it (the entire headlamp) and get yourself an led headlamp. That OEM candle holder is just rubbish.

I've had to do this in the past too!

Halfords or similar motor factors.
They usually have a rotating column dispenser thing full of ‘Whotnots’ in prepacked little boxes. I was in my localHalfords today and they had the clips on the display.

By any chance did you break the little "hinge" bit

I had this issue with a friends bike and I ended up cutting a out of strip of an aluminium drinks can folding it pinching the hinge and screwing it back in with that screw

Was still in there when @NiPhil Sold it

I have no idea to be honest. As usual it happened whilst I was away on a trip to Scotland so I stuffed a but of rubber in the cap to hold the bulb in after I lost the clip.
The spring clips arrived today so I’ll take the headlight unit off over the next couple of days to have a proper look.
