hi there. I just bought a R1200GS LC from a UK dealer 3 weeks ago. It's an April 2014 bike with 1200 miles. I have noticed these marks on the inside of the lense. They look like detergent marks on the inside. Is there a way take the lense off to clean it. Returning to the dealer is not an option as I bought it from Guildford (London) and I'm in Northern Ireland.

Wow... thats worse than mine. I have an opaque/fogging on the lense which is only visible when the headlight is lit. I posted a thread quite a few months ago on this site but it seems i was the only owner affected.
There is a thread on this subject on advforum where owners have had the headlight replaced under warranty for the same issue. The photos show a headlamp lens nowhere near as bad as yours.
Gonna run mine down the dealers for a warranty claim.
Apparently there is a cooling fan incorporated in the headlamp unit which could possibly be the cause. The cause is NOT condensation. Cheers

I had something similar in the headlight of my non-LC 1200GS, I investigated replacing the unit but the cost is ridiculous. However ... I wrapped a bit of old rag around the end of a length of dowel and with a good dose of "Mr.Sheen", I cleaned the whole inside of the lens via the bulb opening. Cleaned up beautifully and the problem has returned.
