I need one for my r1200gs. . .These any good? The picture on website is so poor. What about ease of cleaning the inside? Thanks

their is space to get a cloth in for cleaning and I think it will take the damage no probs rather than a new head light

IMO I still prefer the OEM clear lens. it detachable and make cleaning at ease.

I like the idea of the polycarbonate version. For those with these, do you get glare/reflections at night?

In some models, i've seen a plastic lip that fits between the headlight and the protector.

Yes you do but it doesn`t bother me, could be the reason they are technically illegal for road use?
Was thinking about fitting a lip on the headlight but not sure there is enough room to fit one behind protector so haven`t bothered.

Rugged roads on mine. Only the furthest 3 inches on the right (sat on bike), the rest is obscured by the instruments. A little bit of tape could sort it, but it's not enough to bother me.

Hey i must be stoneage on this. One sheet of Makralon ex Ebay £2.40 enough for two bikes. Dremelled to shape , two panels main and hi beam. Set off the headlights using sellotape foam buds. Used for two years , no issues. Upgraded in May of this year as i borrowed some flasband from my daughter! To seal the top and prevent water going through. Sailed through 3 MOT s so not to bad.
