Looking at putting spots on bike and need a headlight sense to make them work with headlight.

So put the multimeter on the appropriate pin (white wire) and powered the bike up.

It goes high immediately and does not go up and down with the headlight switch, tried the dip (yellow) in case wiring diag is wrong but same thing.

Any idea whats going on here?

My CCT diagram must be wrong, it shows the can bus stopping at the Ground module and that puts out the voltage for the lights to work. Mind you, there is a purple wire thats not used on the non led light.

There are a few threads round here about it. Most of them are probably back a few years when they first came out and people tried to do what your doing.

Maybe this is of use to you http://hexezcan.com

Had look at that but Australia and USA would not supply.

Then I was looking at using microprocessor to control relays and read the can bus, there seems to be a lot of choice, but that will take a bit of time to work up.(Some bits have to come from Hong Kong ect)

Just looking at using a photocell to control a relay as a quick "get off the ground" route for the lights.

Thanks every one

....HEX EZcan, the USA do deliver. Got mine from www.beemershop.com and arrived in 5 days.

Can you not pick up a relay feed from the onboard GPS connections and just use a switch for the spots ?

When did you order and how much was the tax?

5 days is very good, was that the cheapest shipping?

Have just checked back on my communications with Beemershop. From order to home was 9 days however it was at the local customs for 2 days awaiting collection by me. Shipping was $49.50 and customs/tax/vat was an additional £40. It may not be the cheapest item but, IMHO, it is the cleanest and most simple installation in the market with the benefit of multiple configurations.
