Hello folks,

I am hoping the great and the good on this forum can help me.

The lefthand side headlamp glass on my 1150GS has been puntured by a stone and cracked from one side to the other. Easy job to fix I think and stop by at BMW Battersea this afternoon whilst in London to buy the new glass front I need. They then proceed to inform me I need to buy a whole new headlamp unit for the knock down price of £160  .

Now I love my bike but the wife will stop loving me if I keep shelling out on it. So please, please do I really need a whole new unit or are BMW taking the p*** and I just need to bend over and take it like a man :( ?

Answers on a post card.

Cheers

Fraid your going to have to bend over and take it like a man :ymca :ymca

Or you could bet a secondhand unit and replace it that way.

Or you could get a damaged one and split it open. Just pick away at the black silicon sealant and seperate the two halves. You should be able to do the same with your knackered on and stick the two halves back together. Long way round but a means to an end.
