I know this has been gone over many times, but one aspect I haven't come across is, has anyone found an alternative headlight shell (lense and reflector) that will fit without modification or metalwork? I have fitted a HID conversion, but whilst being brighter, the beam still leaves room for improvement. I also have spots wired into main beam so that's not a problem.

Hmm My point eniterly I've been asking the same question recently, Though I've not bothered to do the hid conversion as it will as you have mentioned, just make the bad light brighter.

I've been tempted to take a saw to the reflector and try to realigne it. The main problem is that the hi beem reflector is not adjustable seperately from the low beem. If it was there would I'm sure be a significant improovement in the direction of the seperate beems.

Val.

Does anyone know have a slightly damaged headlight from a 12 that could be stripped and experemented with?

I'd save yourself the bother and fit the BTBR mod. It aint pretty (kinda looks cool though) but it will do more for your lights than any amount of messing around with the standard lights. I did mine and have no issues with lighting now. If your just after tinkering then do it but if you're after a solution then PIAA or Hella additional lights are a great solution. :thumb
