Headlights dazzling oncoming vehicles

Oy! Nutty! If you've finished polishing your pink oboe over pictures of the 1200 WC GSA.... This thread has dissolved into a thinly veiled holiday advertisement and some bollocks about cats.

Move it to the pub, there's a good fellow. The OP can't mend his lights, so a wider audience is required.

:beerjug:

I would do, but can only mod the Watercooled section.:blast

Having this in the Hexhead section is good.:JB

Right,

Lights are working properly.

Faulty bulb, new bulb put in and then adjusted back into the right position.

For anyone that's interested my selector swithch is DOWN

It works in that positon so don't give a toss whether it is right or not.

Cheers for the pointers

Careful, I may take you up on that. Need to sort work out first, can't get the kind of holidays I need for touring at the moment.

Very kind offer.

Damion

Oh, you know how to wound! "Very kind"? I been called lots of things but ....

Actually I suspect from your reply that you have the signatures turned off on here. I, for my sins, run a biker hotel so although you would be very welcome here we would expect you to pay for the privilege.

I'd figured that, but still thanks

But what are you going to do when you are loaded with luggage and carrying a pillion? You already have the light adjusted for that as your everyday (should that be everynight) setting.

There are screws reachable from the front of the headlight to adjust beam angle.

Glad you got it sorted.

Congrats on surviving the 1200 section so far. I think you're going to fit in pretty well :D:D

See page 1 :augie

Next question -

How can I get a half decent reach on main beam without setting the light so high it dazzles on dip?

A - You cant the lamp hasn't get enough separation between beam heights. Drive slowly at night or fit some long range spots (LED maybe) to work with main beam.
