Hi all,
Hopeing for a bit of electrical advice related to my heated grips. Got an R1100GS and so the heated grip swich is on the dash bit rather than handle bars and my problem last winter was that I could only get the 50% heat rather than the full blast. Swith to warm and both grips heat up, switch to hot and nothing.
Been checking the wire'ing and all seems ok, taken the switch out and been checking (measuring the resistance) and:-
Switch off or middle position, resistance from the middle wire (wire going to middle of switch and other two - infinite.
Switch to one position and resistance from middle wire too the switch side zero, resistance from middle wire to other side infinite
Switch to other position and resistance from middle wire to switched side infinite, resistance from middle to other side infinite.
I thin this indicates that my switch is buggered right? I should get a connection or zero resistance from middle to either side if switched, right?
Any help much appreciated.
