Heated Grips - BamBam is an arse!!!!

He will not tell Me!!


Iam fiting my Daytona Heated Grips at the moment and want to use the green wire to the coil as it is "ignition" feed (I think).

Has anyone got a better idea as Bam Bam will not help . As he is trying to teach me electric's in his own weired and wonderful way !! (But they do not comput in my head).

Make sure you use a relay.
I tapped into the green wire off the ignition switch to energise the relay when I put some additional electrical stuff on mine.

What year is it? I'm no expert on them but on mine ('92 R100GS) the wiring diagram showed a connection for heated grips, and hey presto there under the tank on the left hand side towards the front was a little socket; live with the ignition on only, fused and ready to connect them straight into.

the Gs is a '93 model. I will be looking into the socket very soon
