Heated Grips on even when ignition off !!

Has anyone else had this problem, my electrics on my 09 GS1200 seem to have gone tits up (techinical term !!)

Have had to disconnect the battery now

Also the clocks have stopped and the CHECK 1 prompt no longer appears on start up, oh yes also the hand controls have stopped working..........

Les, moved this to the 1200 section- you may get more ideas here

Have you tried to connect the battery again, as disconnecting might have reset the ZFE Control Module that controls handgrip heating, instrument cluster and the Multifunction switches. If not, take it to the dealer, the ZFE might be defective

Its under warranty so call BMW assist and get it picked up and fixed.

Must say well diagnosised Zigo !! it is indeed a faulty ZFE control unit.

So hopefully BMW will replace the unit and get the bike back to me tomorrow so i can at least get some miles in over the weekend (you watch it start to piss down !).
