My 2000 1150gs is is having problems with the clock resetting to 0:00 after starting and the ABS light keeps flashing. Once i ride for a few km's i can restart the bike and the abs lights go out and if i set the clock the time will be correct. The battery is not quite 3 years old and if i don't put a trickle charger on it it will be slow cranking. To make a long story short, I'm trying to figure out if i have something drawing down the battery, I have a draw with the ignition off which is 3.5mA which is suspect is the clock. Does anybody know what the acceptable amount is.

Thanks

If your 3.5ma is an accurate reading a good battery should be OK for 3 months or so; I'm another vote for your battery being on the way out.

And number 4 here.
Your battery is (probably - see below) goosed. Once it's been flattened you've irredeemably reduced its capacity and no fancy charger will reclaim this lost capacity. I'd get a replacement OEM battery and keep it on a trickle or smart charger. I replaced my Battery for an OEM gel 5 years ago (kept on a Ctek charger in the garage) and it's still (subjectively) as good as new. As the legions of sheep on here will no doubt chime in any moment now, if you're mad you could also waste money on a daft Odyssey battery that doesn't fit properly and trades starting current for capacity.

The other thing that can produce the symptoms you note is if your starter motor is on its way out (loose magnets or dislodged grease plate). This can produce a sluggish start from cold that draws a huge current and resets the clock etc. There are several threads about checking your starter if you search.
