how long dose it take for the grips to heat up?????????

That depends on the weather to a certain extent but on full power you should start to feel warmth within a couple of minutes. Full heat within 5 minutes or so. On half power they take a lot longer to warm up.

On 2 clicks in the middle of winter i could feel the heat properly within 3-4 minutes (basically getting out of the estate onto fast A roads)

Anything longer than that i would say there is something wrong................unless you are wearing the worlds thickest gloves of course
