i know the cold weather is a little way off but i'm planning ahead and wondered if anyone had experince of a heated grips Vs heated gloves. I have a Widder heated waistcoat and i think the gloves conect to that. The other option is to go for the grips BWM or otherwise

I use those HG Pathan(?) gloves - with the lobster claw type grip.

I don't even need my heated grips when riding in them.

Bit difficult to pick my nose though....

Hi!

I have electric heated gloves from Gerbing.
And I ride the Scarver with heated grips.
If you twist my arm and make me choose; I'll keep my gloves.

In dry weather, about 5-10c, the heated grips are helping me a little.
In wet weather, same temp, I feel more heat on the inside of my hands, but there is no help on the outside of my hands.

No matter weather, and the coldest I have done is 5c in rain for hours, my gloves are really good and comfy! I can feel they are warm all over, not just on the inside of my hands! And they are waterproof too!

If you love your waistcoat, then you can connect it all together if you know how to put wires together.
If your waistcoat is nearly worned out I suggest you start all over and buy clothes from Gerbing as Gerbing has a system that makes it easy for you to connect all products they have.

Gerbing is expensive, but you can trust that they give you a new product if the wires broke! I got new socks!

I have heated gloves, and can never be bothered to put them on or take them off, just used the heated grips, did think off using muffs, but i never really go anywhere if its really cold :nenau

I think it's time to define ''cold weather''.

If what I wear keeps me comfy, not a little cold, but nice and warm, in 5c in rain, all day, then I'm satisfied.
Most of us can stand to feel cold for a short time, and it does not feel that cold either for one hour.
But if you ride all day, and you are getting tired and hungry, and ot rains, then you need better clothes to feel nice and warm.

I'm wearing wool next to my skin, different types of cotton/wool clothes between my riding suit and the wool, and electric heated west, gloves and socks, and two windstoppers for my neck, and wather proof boots. And a Shubert helmet.
If I feel cold in all my gear, then it's ice on the road, and I do not ride on ice, snow or salt.

And I ride a naked bike, the Scarver.

I have friends who are wearing less then mentioned above when they are riding in the cold, in snow, and camp outside in February, at Primustreffet.
I guess you can say I freeze easily, and they do not. Most of us are normal!
