Had to go to Sligo yesterday and back today. Took the bike. Feckin great spin; dry roads apart from a shower in limerick coming back [that shower up in Limerick, sure the paper is full of their going ons!]
A bit chilly but the heated vest is great. Rember wearing so much gear in winter you could not turn around to look behind. Thing of the past; get a heated vest.- you,ll be glad you did.
OK mirrors help with the turning around stuff; but they dont keep you warm. :D

Aidan bought me one at the beginning of this year and I wouldn't be without it. Happy days for Aidan he doesn't have to listen to "I,m cold" all the live long day :jibber:jibber :D

Hiya Mandy,

I want to get a heated vest for her nibs. What brand/style is yours?

Ron

Hi Ron hope you are well, good to see you again in October.
It is made by Chili. I,m not sure whether it has 1 L or 2 :blast
Take care :thumb2

I've just looked at the Chilli website - looks the business all right!:cool

I suppose I asked for that :blast
Now I,m going to :hide :o

Mandy,
Part of my job entails ordering uniforms for female staff. When I ask them their size I usually say "Small?, Medium? or L for Long?" Don't mind that bold Gerry C.

if you are any way handy with a needle i would highly recommend these.
better than a waistcoat as they also heat your arms:thumb2

You were in sligo? My granny lives there.
Have you any info on the heated vest, how much, where, and what make would be good.

I've got a Widder with the solid state heat controler. Sourced it in the states via my brother; can't recall the exact price but about €200 all in. There may be better jobs out there. The widder is sleevless and my forearms get a bit chilly, you can get arm chaps that attach but that sounds fiddely. That aside I'm well pleased.
Is your granny a biker?

No Really go for the diy version sew it in to the lining of your jacket they are class fer 22 quid:thumb2

Folks, for those wanting to try the heated waistcoat on the cheap, why not try this half price, battery operated number. I just noticed it this evening for the first. You gotta be quick though!

Apart from the fact the batteries only last 50 minutes!

From the FAQ:
Q) and how long does it keep warm for on one set of batteries? - jon
A) OK - this should be used in the following way; turn on the power for a few minutes to warm up the jacket - turn off. It is not deisgned to be powered up constantly and if used in this way the batteries will last no more than 40 to 50 minutes
