Heavy Duty inner tubes

Is there any reason not to use them on a bike that will do lots of road miles?

I am taking the KTM to Sweden in August for some fairly light off-roading, so was thinking of putting thicker inner-tubes in, but I have to ride about 1000 miles there and 1000 miles back and wondered if they might cause any issues due to over heating.

DJ, I have had HD inner tubes on my 800GS in Metzler Tourances for 10K, off road, motorway,tracks no problems experienced. HTB1

I have HD tubes in my K60's, and have had no problems in the 5000 miles I've done. Fearing overheating, I smeared them in silicone grease before I fitted them. Absolutely no idea if it's made a difference, but I've had no problems...
