I've been patiently chiseling the old engine breather out of my R90/6 today. It's a 76 bike and this was the original breather. All of the heavy flywheel bikes I've had or have known have had the same problem when given big licks. They all start to leak at the seams. Fitting the new breather cures it but it got me thinking... did these bikes always have this problem? I've never known a low mileage one so have nothing to compare them with.

I've still got original breather on my R90's the fibre washer one that whistles, got the replacement metal one but I haven't got round to fitting it yet..
The replacement was bought in 1981 :augie

Mines nice and clear, maybe cos I've always used Castrol oil in her :augie
