Drove past the Cwm Ciddy pubs this morning at about 10.30am ANPR van monitoring traffic on the road leading to the Airport with the usual masses of Police around.

However at the roundabout there were 2 armed copper with machine guns an another on a 1150ADV giving a motorist a hard time.

Anybody now the reason for the armed presence.

Getting towards the end of the financial year and maybe there are several police officers who haven't reached their annual points target yet so are catching as many speeding motorists as possible as its easier than catching criminals

Yeah. It's motorists who are being stopped. Filthy, working, middle-class taxpaying bastards. They need to be reminded of their place from time to time. Got to make sure they toe the line and stay properly scared of the state. I mean, if they started asking questions like "why am I so rogered by HMCE every time I make a penny?" or "why am I controlled, hounded, fined and taxed from pillar to post?" or "Where does all the tax money REALLY go when we can't even afford to run the NHS, schools and a transport system that works???" the State would be screwed.

Can't let the scum who really fund the country get uppity, asking questions and start demanding rights, can we? The occasional armed police operation is normally enough to keep them properly cowed and in their places.

Having been one of those GSA SE riders. Up until recently. I suspect they are justifying there Pay dispute with Home Secretary!!!!
Or it could be that they are after;

One of those theiving Scum bags that reach into your Tax free letter boxes anf Half inch you car and garage keys and your convieniently place suit case full of money then gives said suitcase to courier,

Who then heads off to International Airport to catch next International flight to Amsterdam to hand over said suit case to a Howard Marks Look alike, who then provides a case of Fine white T-shirts in exchange.

Marks look a like then hands over cash to some chap in business suit who happens to have a cousin who has a crop business just outside of Kabul.

The cash then finds it way to some chap up in the Mountains who knows this Crop grower, who has remained at large for some time. He then buys a few items for his rebel friends in Training camps in the regions

These suitably trained individuals come to Uk on an International flight to a smaller Airport and the next thing you have is some doctor drives his 4x4 into the front of Your local airport....

Or maybe they are just after your mis-represented registration Plate, to swell the coffers to pay for well deserved pay increase. Or is it coming to the end of financial year and someone hasn't spent their quota and needs to or they lose it next year..... Or am i just being cynical?????

I know one thing though I just miss riding my 1150GSA SE
