Heeeeeeelp!! Route in straight line 2

Best way I have found is:

1. Create start and finish waypoint. (either using find function or by Google maps to transfer to Device then device transfer to Mac)

2. Create any other waypoints you want to see on the way.

3. Start to form the route with the Route Planning tool - drag and drop the start and the finish to the Route Planning tool "start / finish" boxes. Then drag in between these any waypoints you want to see on route.

4. press enter and the route calculates and shows on the map - then you can exit the Route Planning Dialogue box.

5. Now flick between Hand tool (ctrl + H) and pointer (ctrl + S) to drag and alter the route. To alter the route make sure you are using the pointer tool and hover over the route then press alt + left mouse button or trackpad - then drag and drop the route where you want to go.

6. If you make a mistake use cmd + z to undo the last change.

Instructions are for a Mac......

Getting better with it the more I use it and the best tutorials I have found are the ones Bumpkin has on Youtube - they are excellent - thanks Bumpkin.....

Yup ..... to me .... complete and utter double dutch .... :D

OK I have a pictorial guide on PDF but no way to get it to you - if you have an email number can send it directly to you or to a moderator for them to post?

Ha ha ...

Thanks Rik.

As it happens, it's a day off work for me today, I have been very disciplined and have sat down, watched some YouTube tutorials, and have even followed and copied the routes on the tutorials flipping tabs between the two and doing some proper home study :clap (you computer nerds would have been very proud :D)

So I'm now pretty au fait with building routes, the insert tool, the search functions, how to do the fancy lettered shortcuts, why sometimes a route goes into straight lines ... and all that guff.

But thanks for the offer .... :thumb2

.... I've even installed google earth and now know how to 'play' my planned route .... Ooooooooo get me ...
