Heighten Brake Pedal on 1200GS

Had mine a couple of months now and found it quite awkward to rotate your right boot so far forward when applying the brake. Saw that you can increase the size of the pedal, but that was not what I wanted, so made up a solution that works!!

Got a piece of thick rubber and cut a piece to fit in the triangular pedal recess, stuck a slightly larger section on top then secured that to the pedal with a bolt recessed into the pedal. A flat plate, turned up at the edges, ensures that the rubber does not move and to ensure that I didn't slip off, I cut grooves in the top to prevent water sitting on it!!

It certainly helps and I have not had any problems!

My bike was in yesterday at the dealers and I borrowed their Demo GS and that demonstrated to me that the mod is a great improvement and worth the 50p cost!! :thumb
