Time for a new jacket the heine g has failed again, 2nd time zips for inner pockets as well as the main one. Once fair enough but twice with the same problem is not funny when you are out and about with cold wind / rain .
Had a wonder into my local bike clothing emporium custom lids. Rukka , nice but a bag of sand for a jacket ( did not know rukka makes the BMW "twit" one, at a much lower spec, for a price.)
Like the held 6050 carese gortex. Same design features as the rukka 5 year warrantied too . Like the jacket , price @£500 .
Has / is anyone using this brand £500 is to me a lot of Penny's , if the jacket is "pants"

I had a Held for a while, i was good till I cleaned it as per their instructions. It then leaked like a sieve. I have thier trousers which are waterproof but both zips that tighten at the bottom have gone after very little use. I wouldnt put them in "high quality" league more cheap and cheerful.

I've grown to love my Weise jackets, I've got the 'Nomad' and it's a VERY good jacket.

I've been in snow and 40 degree heat with no problem and a cloud burst of biblical proportions.

Hard to see in the 'blurb' but it has removable panels on the chest and 2 large removable ones on the arms. I paid a little less than the £250 they want but I've seen it for £180 online.

Thats helpful, thanks gents. Don`t want to go down the heine g route , twice bitten. The held jacket is in the same price range as the bmw twit one and at the end of the day £500 is about the most i would want to pay !
Cheers for that ian , paying that kind of beer vouchers on something that may let go is not on.

Cool, the only thing I did to mine was cut the neoprene cuff of the breathable liner and put a bit of elastic in as they have even sorted the problem of water running up your arm, but it was a bit tight.
