Hello and Help!

Ive been asked to look at a 2010 BMW 1200 RT - I cant start it. Put key in get dash lights on, a BRAKE FAILURE lamp comes on, press what I think is the start button, pull in clutch lever, but nothing at all happens. Please excuse me I am not familiar with these big bikes. I need an idiots guide.

Make sure the side stand is up and the kill switch is set to Run

In gear with side stand down? Green neutral lamp on? Brake failure lamp normal, goes off when you get going (ABS sensor)
