I live in Eighton Banks Gateshead and although I recently aquired a 05 GS i hate to admit i havent ridden it yet.

Sorting out the tax and insurance this weekend in readiness. but its my 40th this week and i have a party/house warming to arrange.

Would be nice to meet up sometime and pick all your brains about what i need to do with the bike, but its pretty stock.

Catch you about :)

Regards

Dave

If you need to know if your bike is alright just send the keys over :green gri:green gri

lol, i shoud get it taxed next week so itl be on the road soon after. just been so busy prepping for a house warming and 40th birthdat bash that i just havent had the time to ride. Took my little XT600 out for a spin yesterday and then sold it :(. Not enough room at the inn i am afraid. the GS takes up a fair bit of garage space.

Cheers

Dave

thanks all. took the bike out today for its first ride. throughly enjoyed it even though I was a little tentative at first.

Managed with the odd indicators ok, thought the gear selector was odd at first but soon got used to it. Had a little blast up to Hexham on the 69 and back through Prudhoe just to wind back and see how it handles on the windies.

great, load of torque and just what I was hoping for.

was a bit chilly as I was lulled into thinking it would be warmer, given the sun was out, but the summer jacket and gloves didnt quite cut it, but enjoyed it nevertheless.

Cant wait for the next ride :)
