I am thinking of getting a new enduro style helmet, I had a Arai Tour x2 with my old 2005 GS and it vibrated that much I had blurred vision. As anybody tried any of the enduro style helmets with the GS LC {standard Screen), if so how did you get on?
I am about 5' 11" ish.

Cheers Mark

I'm 5'10'' and the Shoei Hornet is perfect. Very stable and no blurring.

I use the Arai Tour X3, with no vibration issues.:beerjug:

I was thinking of buying one too but I own a 1200TC...

Hi - I'm new to the GS and GSER - Recently purchased an Arai Tour X4 to go with my new W/C GS - lovely fit but peak vibrates no matter how I adjust the screen or angle the peak. Taking the matter up with Arai but don't expect to get anywhere - pinning hopes on a screen extension which I can angle to reduce turbulence but not confident this will do the trick!

Impact of vibration is constant thrumming which, after a long day, leaves you with humming ears and a headache - aside of ibuprofen any ideas?

How tall are you?

Strange - not been a problem with my Tour X 4 even with the standard screen. Have since changed screen to a MRA X-creen with the spoiler and that has improved things even further so worth a go.

how many of the chaps here ride their GSs with a normal full face as opposed to the pointy off-roady types ?

is there any real difference between the two styles ?

I use a standard full face Schuberth which is steady as a rock on my fireblade but wobbles about a bit on the GS. There's something about the screen that increases turbulence around the head area albeit reducing full frontal pressure. If I stand up on the pegs the wobbling stops. Don't know if a taller screen would solve the problem. Any ideas?

I'm 6ft, use the seat on high position with standard screen at it's highest setting, I use an Arai x4, no vibration issues for me.

I wear an Arai RX7GP, at the speed you can do on a WC I'd be surprised if anything with a peak didn't cause an issue.

You would be amazed at how the Peak works riding into the Sun, swapping from my Tour X 4 to Shoe Multitech it's one of the things I miss.

I agree. I have a peaked lid and it is great for whenever the sun is low in the sky. Just dip your head a little, great job.

I have a Bmw enduro helmet and a shoei full face too .... The Shoei is slightly quieter but not much in it . I am 5.10,on my TC the bmw lid was noisy and buffeted a lot even with a adv screen, but on the LC it is very quiet with no buffeting and the peak is handy in the sun as previously mentioned.
