Help advice needed

I know this will seem obvious to you clever dudes, but not being one of those, can any1 enlighten me?
Just got 550 Zumo'ed up, I have a bmw type connector that I'd like for now anyway to use to power the Zumo using the supplied cable there are two connections on the plug, which one does the red wire go to and which one does the black go to ( I have trawled the q's n Answers already) do I need to keep it fused too? Oh yeah, bikes a 02 1150GS, Any help appreciated, cheers Dusan

red positive centre terminal, black negative outer terminal to earth. Fuse should be in the red 'live' wire.

Cheers Pablo, thought the red/live would be the centre, but didn't know about the fuse, BMW mechanic confirmed too, many thanks m8, Dusan
